摘要：Motivated by the recent legal discussions about domestic workers in Brazil, this paper aims to highlight the leading role of domestic workers’ political organizations in the conquest of rights. Based on interviews with unionized domestic workers in different Brazilian cities, the article uses the concept of interseccionality and shows how, in the last 80 years, domestic workers’ political organizations have articulated themselves with trade unions, as well as black and feminist movements, and how this articulation is important for a politics of empowerment and control of their own lives.
