摘要：The article describes the main challenges faced in the effort to build and organize the "Inventory of Places of Memory of the Atlantic Slave Trade and of the History of Enslaved Africans in Brazil", which is part of the Unesco’s Slave Route Project. The list of 100 places of memory of the inventory was made thanks to the collaboration of many researchers interested in the social history of slavery and the slave trade to Brazil. The work was also developed in close dialogue with the contemporary discussions about Afro-Brazilians’ heritage and rights.
