摘要：The volume and complexity of the documents in the personal archive of Darcy Ribeiro can only be compared to the totalizing ambition of his theories and to his well known eloquence when he spoke of himself. Academic work, political militancy and literary production are mixed with reactions before his performance, networks of personal relationships and records of everyday life, disclosing the many projects in which he was involved and showing that the archive is itself is an ambitious project of memory. The article tries to cast an anthropological look at the archive, in order to point the main characteristics of its constitution and content, and to analyze how the intellectual ground where it stands and from where it draws its intelligibility, i. e. Fundação Darcy Ribeiro, interferes in its configuration.
