摘要:The use of geographical information systems to the decision making process is turning an important tool for the soil use planning, because it allows a faster result with less subjectivity. This work had as objective presents a spatial location model to an industrial district in the municipal district of Lajeado, RS, through an Multi-Criteria Evaluation methodology subsidized by Geographical Information Systems (GIS). They were appraised four restrictive criteria: the Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs), the Restricted Use Areas (AUR), the native forest and the urban area, and five criteria factors: declivity, highways, soil use and coverage, geology and pedology being these, with some suitability degree, among 0 (lowest suitability score) to 255 (highest suitability score). As result, was obtained seventeen area fragments, with more than 10 ha that present a high suitability value according to the appraised criteria.
