摘要：This article is part of a study to know and analyze the work of Physical Education teachers in the treatment of people who make harmful use of alcohol and other drugs. It was conducted mainly in two Psychosocial Alcohol and Drugs Care Centers (CAPSADs) in the Greater Vitória, ES, area. The methodology applied was observation and semi-structured interviews with Physical Education teachers and health workers. Results showed some similarity in activities developed by teachers in both CAPSADs. Despite some difficulties, teachers understand that the service cannot privilege body activities with a purely organic perspective. In addition, they stress the importance of the close relationship between Physical Education teachers, drug addicts and other members of the multidisciplinary team in order for the work to be significant.
