The text highlights the actions of groups during the three-year period, 2011-2013, presenting objectives, methodological procedures and main results obtained to communities that have operated. We conclude that in three years of work, PET teams improved the academic background of a significant group of students of UNIVASF, functioning as a mechanism to align with the academic knowledge to solve social demands within the health and preservation of heritage in the region Northeast of Brazil.
