摘要：Metlaline ( 1 ), piyaline ( 2 ), piyaline methyl ester ( 3 ), a pair of diasteriomeric epimers of marsuposide ( 4a and 4b ), and pterostilbene ( 5 ) were isolated from the water soluble fraction of 70% MeOH extract of Pterocarpus marsupium (Roxb.) heartwood. Among them compound 3 was isolated for the first time from natural source. Pterostilbene has been found as antioxidant, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer agent.
