摘要：This paper aims to present a reflection about the availability of historical sources in Memory Center of Physical Education, Department of Physical Education, Federal University of Paraná. Guided by the following questions: when can we make it accessible? How can we make it accessible? Who is going to access the sources? The research aimed to reflect on the role of these centers in the custody of the memory and fostering research. The general conclusion is that although these institutions are essential for the promotion of research in the areas of Social Sciences the effort in this case was "limited" and "limiting" but made no fiction, hype and all that life care imposes everyday who conducts historical research in Physical Education in Brazil.
