摘要:The present study aimed to describe the realization of a project extension carried out in a toy library located in a nursery where are enrolled about 140 children between newborns and five years, from families with social and economic vulnerability. Each of the six classes of the institution had one hour a week to stay in the toy library, with supervision and mediation of two undergraduate psychology students. At the end of the project, interviews with the teachers were carried out. It has been noted that they agree on the importance of play and the relevance of the project, recognizing the potential of play activities for the better development of children. The teachers mentioned the interest of the children to go toy library, a fact also observed in the same report and the observation their behavior. It has been concluded that the toy library is a privileged spot to children development, as well as the production of knowledge on childhood.
