摘要：Acute appendicitis still being one of the most common clinical presentation of abdominal pain, with 1.4/1,000 habitants in the general population. The complication less frequently in post-appendectomy is appendicitis of stump. The appendicular stump is a rare clinical situation, in which the appendicular remnant presents progressive inflammation and infection. Continuation will present one clinical case of appendicitis of stump. The suspected diagnosis for this clinical entity was based on radiographic and ultrasonographic findings (abdominal computed tomography and ultrasound), and the final diagnosis was surgical. It is recommended to consider this entity within the diagnostic possibilities in cases of right iliac fossa pain with a history of appendectomy and thus reduce fatal complications of appendicitis stump.
