摘要:The main aim of this article is to highlight the links between solidarity economics and feminist economics in order to summarize the main common features of these both alternative economic approaches and their contribution to the construction of a society based on social equity. In this attempt some of the main elements that define the capability approach are also introduced as we find it useful to make progress towards a social organization based on social and economic justice. Besides, these three approaches locate in the centre of their analysis life sustainability which is a concept that tries to overcome the limits of an economy based exclusively on profitable market relationships. This article, thus, will be structured as follows. In the first part, some drivers of Feminist Economics will be described in order to summarize its main proposals. In the second part, the main links between Feminist Economics and the Capability Approach will be underlined. In the third part of the article the main principles of the Solidarity Economy will be summarized and linked with the previous described approaches. Crossing all these elements some characteristics of economic debates based on well-being of women and men of a community will be emphasised, taking into account that the aim of economic analysis should be to promote living conditions of people in a broad SENse and their capabilities to live the life they consider valuable and meaningful, instead of the profits of the big corporations. The article will finish summarizing some key points in order to contribute to the debate about the basic elements of an economy based on social equity.
