摘要:The current worry of the national government and Colombian universities to improve the quality of the education is widely recognized. The recent policies and educative features, that determine such worry, have caused that the university expands its work fields and gets its way from an institution devoted to the education of the students through an academic/disciplined instruction –which was its main function- , to become in an entity devoted to the formation, research and social projection. Nevertheless, it is relevant to think that these university functions –captured in its curriculum built under the model of competences- need time before a consideration on the human being, which is only possible to come true in the way education facilitates let us think about the human being- educative process actor- in a way that involves him totally since his ontology, but also particularly since a gnoseologic and ethic perspective. It means, education is understood as a scene in which the actors involved appear as different people, that’s why, the dialectic of its gatherings allows them to perceive that the education is a reality thanks to consider that they are human beings likely to increase. To consider these reasons is the role of the educability. This text intends to explore the comprehension of the educability itself, proposing not only that these are the basis of the main pedagogical reflexion, essential to shape an education for competences in this country, but to know that they must be conceived from a humanist conception, which is different from an anthropocentric one. According to educability and its relation with the education and pedagogy, its description as a basis of the pedagogy performance, its relevance in order to consider a “truly education by competences”, and its incidence in the university functions is what this paper refers.
