摘要：The development of information and communication technologies are increasingly rapidly as it allows us to obtain information quickly, cheaply, and easily. One of the products of information and communication technologies that provide these facilities is the cellular phone (mobile phone). With increasing current technological developments lead to the emergence of various new technologies in the manufacture of mobile phone applications. Therefore, the author wants to make an application on computer-based mobile phones for students seeking academic information available on campus. The author makes the design of academic information services applications using UML and J2ME with NetBeans IDE 5.0, which is only through cell phones that already have data transmission capabilities of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), students can access academic information. It also discusses the writing of interface design and manufacture a MIDlet or MIDP (Mobile Information Device Profile) form of data schedule of courses, exam schedules, course and workshop schedules, information value and academic calendar made by MySQL, for web server, the author also uses PHP as liaison with J2ME. The author hopes, this program will provide ease of communication, especially for students to obtain academic information effectively and efficiently without having to come directly to campus.
