摘要：Expert system is computer software that has a certain knowledge base and use the inference reasoning resembles an expert in solving problems. With this approach, a program was made using the CLIPS based on medical knowledge, to diagnose diabetes mellitus and the early symptoms of diabetes mellitus. In the case of diabetes mellitus diagnosis, expert systems can help as well as a physician in diagnosing the disease. In the world of medicine the diagnosis of disease includes activities of identifying and setting of disease obtained from complaints and signs in patients. So users can obtain early diagnosis from experienced symptoms, and recommendations related to these symptoms. This program helps to reduce the duty of a physician in diagnosing diabetes mellitus. With this program the patient can be immediately checked himself into the doctor if signs of suspicious are founded.
