摘要：Reading a novel is something interesting. It can bring a pleasure and knowledge to the readers. It is one of ways to appreciate a work of literature. When the writer reads this novel, he is interested to analyze the characters, because this one of Robert Louis Stevensons great horror and thus a pillar of what most critics take to be the apex of Robert Louis Stevenson dramatic art. This novel presents us with two characters, Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll. Mr. Hyde is dominant force in evil character. The writers aim s of study in this scientific research paper is to describe out the character of Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll in Strange Case of DR. Jekyll and MR. Hyde. In the research method, the writer used two sources of data. The main sources and the secondary sources. The main source of data is taken from novel entitled Strange Case of DR. Jekyll and MR. Hyde and another source of data is taken from Internet. Furthermore, in analyzing characters of DR. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the writer used a psychological approach which a psychological approach considers that analysis consist of four concurrent flows activity; data and the steps are data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/versification. The result of this research showed that Mr. Hydes characters are cruel, sadist person, lovely to being alone and also a mysterious person with no sense at all. DR. Jekylls is kindest, he kinds to every person and he sees everything objectively so all people respect him and be the most respected man in England.
