摘要:Vocabulary is an important element in language. Without vocabulary, we cannot communicate effectively. This study aims at finding out the problems in teaching vocabulary through pictures, the strengths and the weaknesses in teaching vocabulary through pictures. The writer uses a qualitative method. The result of the observations shows that the problems are some students do not pay attention to the lesson, the strength is pictures are easy to understand especially by the children. This pictures are so simple and easy to use. The weakness is the students cannot remember the words based one what they saw on the pictures. So, this technique will be benefit for those who have weaknesses in visual memory. KeyWords: Teaching, Vocabulary and Pictures.
