摘要:The mechanism of ecological compensation is considered as an effective way to solve the problems of the upstream and downstream river basins. This paper uses the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to investigate people’s awareness of Min river basin's ecological compensation, and analyze the willingness to pay for the environmental improvement. Studies have shown that residents of Chengdu have a certain degree of eco-environmental awareness and willingness to pay, but the cognitive level of ecological protection isn't enough, and show a "government dependency" feature. 67.73 % of the surveyed residents were willing to pay for the restoration of the ecological environment of Min river, and the average maximum willingness to pay was 63.47 Yuan / (person·year).
