摘要：Association rule mining is a popular and well researched data mining functionality to discover interesting relationships among variables in large databases. Most of the frequent pattern mining algorithms based on the popular Apriori property traverse iteratively the itemset lattice in a level wise manner. Therefore, they encounter challenges at mining rather large patterns called colossal patterns. This paper proposes a strategy which avoids exhaustive level-wise pattern tree traversal and quickly mines colossal patterns.
