摘要：Une analyse conjointe des pratiques de gestion forestière et des textes traitant de questions sylvicoles a été menée sur la période 1800-2000, pour le territoire de l'actuel Uruguay (Amérique du Sud). L'intérêt est de comprendre pourquoi aujourd'hui, les forêts autochtones ne font l'objet d'aucun aménagement, alors que plusieurs traces historiques prouvent que des expériences ont eu lieu. Les éléments d'explication sont à rechercher dans l'impact de modèles sylvicoles et préservationnistes internationaux développés durant le XXe siècle, dans la focalisation des institutions chargées des questions forestières sur les conceptions européennes et nord-américaines, dans la faible prise en compte des réalités territoriales du pays. Cet ensemble de faits serait à l'origine de l'absence d'un modèle forestier "autochtone", qui permettrait d'adapter l'aménagement aux réalités du pays.
其他摘要：The concrete practices of forest management and texts about sylvicultural issues concerning today's territory of Uruguay (South America), have been analysed together throughout the XVIIIth-XXth centuries. The aim of the paper is to understand why today's native forests are left unmanaged in spite of evidence of historical experiments carried out in the past. Part of the answers can be found in the impact of international sylvicultural and preservationist models during the XXth century, as well as in the deep influence of the European and North-American approach on the uruguayan forestal institutions ; finally in the limited territorial analysis of the country and its real forestal development capacities. Theses points would be responsible of the incapacity of the country to create a genuine forestal developement model, which would allow for a management adapted to native forests.
