The study explores usage of electronic resources by the academicians in Kashmir (Indian Administered) in the times of conflict (2009-2010) and peace (2011-2012). It is an attempt to investigate the influence of political conditions on the usage of electronic resources. The study also focuses on the research output of University of Kashmir during these years. Statistics of usage provided by the Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) that represent usage at University of Kashmir, were mined for 4 years – January 2009 to December 2012. The data was divided in to two time periods; conflict period – 2009 to 2010 and peace period – 2011 to 2012. The findings reveal that there is as strong relationship between peace, conflict, research and eresource usage. The results show that usage of e-resources and research are highly affected by the political situation of a region.
