摘要：The article presents the contents of the process of development of information cul- ture in the educational space and the approximate content of their information activities ex- pressed as a set of author's programs ("Development of information culture of young pupils in educational space"; a cycle of conversations "Culture of communication", "How important to know how to communicate", "I am in the world of information", practical work of younger pupils and cycles of thematic information projects within the framework of the activities of the school press service, etc.). It is emphasized that the development of information culture can serve as an internal mechanism of information security through the development of ideas about the moral and ethical norms, values, critical thinking and other qualities that will allow the child to safely carry out information activities and to realize the potential of the infor- mation environment for their personal development
