摘要：For the proper implementation of employment and human resource development policies the study of labor market participation is essential. In this paper, an attempt has been made to examine the trends and patterns of female workforce participation among the Northeast states of India. This paper also examined the various factors that affect the woman work participation rate and for this purpose, OLS regression technique is employed. The findings indicate that female work participation rate in Northeast region is higher than national average but it is low compared to male work participation rate for all the periods. It has been found that except Assam, all the other states of Northeast India have experienced increasing trend in female work participation rate and this rate is above the national level.
