摘要：The paper discusses possibilities of presentation of various types and forms of metonymies in monolingual and bilingual dictionaries, both conventional and electronic ones. A survey of various types eligible for lexicographical treatment is followed by some suggestions as to procedures that can best capture and present the essence of metonymy in dictionaries.
