摘要:http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/1518-2924.2017v22n48p2 We sought to investigate the importance of heritage education in the process of recognition of library as heritage institution and performance opportunities for the professional librarian in this context. The case study was analyzed in the Rio-Grandense Library, located in Rio Grande/RS (Brazil). Data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire; the answers were categorized and analyzed using the method of Content Analysis. The study concluded that the institution realizes the importance of the participation of librarians in the process of disclosure and financial statement recognition of library as well as the cultural and heritage importance of the Rio-Grandense Library to the community.
