Dialogue and silencing: Nanette Blitz Konig’ s testimony of Holocaust - Abstract: The present article focuses on how the encounter with the other and his sensitive listening may help the victims to feel their suffering in a most comfortable way, as well as to overcome the silence, resentment, hopelessness and the emptiness of meaning imposed during the Holocaust. Seeking this purpose, the work is based on the theories of the philosopher Martin Buber (1878-1965) and the psychotherapist Carl Rogers (1902-1987), as well as on the Holocaust’s testimony, Nanette Blitz Konig, survivor from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
