摘要:This study consists of a systematic review of publications between 2001 and 2011, involving neuropsychological assessment of executive functions in children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Based on the inclusion criteria of this research, nine studies were found, using the terms neuropsychology and executive functions, combined with autism, in LILACS, PubMed and PsycINFO databases. The reviewed publications analysis showed a dysexecutive function tendency in ASD, involving components of inhibition, planning, mental flexibility, verbal fluency and working memory. In conclusion, it was found that preserved and dysfunctional executive components have been reported in ASD, corroborating previous studies that indicated a typical and atypical developmental progression of executive functioning in this condition.
