摘要:The purpose of this study examines the extent to which socio-demographic factors of food industry professionals from Rio Grande do Norte favor the manifestation of burnout. The research is exploratory and descriptive, quantitative method based, and it shows a purposive sampling involving 197 employees from 23 companies. It was used the Human System Audit (HSA) and the statistic techniques for data analysis were: factorial analysis; Alpha Conbrach; hierarchical conglomerate analysis; and cluster analysis. The encountered dimensions were: emotional exhaustion, fatigue and vitality; the explain of accumulated value reached 65.3% of total variation, and the syndrome uprising was not vindicated by social-demographic data, since the T-test and NOVA presented irrelevant values. Thus, it was noted that the encountered dimensions were different from social-psychological Maslach’s perspective and the social-demographic aspects could not be mentioned as explains factors for the probable uprising of burnout syndrome.
