  • 摘要:This article analyses the process of the empowerment of women that occupy middle management positions in organizations of the banking sector, the industrial sector and the computer industry located in Belo Horizonte-MG. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 managers. All the interviews were recorded with the consent of the interviewees and fully transcribed. The selection of the subjects and companies was defined by accessibility criteria. The data analysis has passed through the stages of treatment (MELO, 2003), preparation: transcription of the interviews according to the questions; grouping answers of each category for each treated question, quantitative tabulation: identification of the components of the answers given by the interviewees and their groupment in accordance with the question’s theme; thematic tabulation: definition of themes according to the goals of the study, structured in worksheets allowing to group most significant parts extracted from the interviews, emphasizing the dimension of the speech of the interviewee. In this analysis, it has been taken in consideration six components for the analysis of the empowerment process, which are: analytical, subjetive, political, economical, social and cultural cognitive (MELO, 2009). The data have confirmed the need and importance of this research with the purpose of bringing more clear aims to the development of policies that can minimize the differences between men and women, as well as recognize those women needs and their role in all their diversity inside organizations.
