摘要:The Brazilian academic research in management with a focus on people with disabilities are scarce, research efforts in this direction run into issues of a ontological, epistemological and methodological. This paper aims to present a reflection on the potential suitability of different paradigms and epistemological perspectives for research in the field of management with a focus on people with disabilities. Faced with the advantages and disadvantages in the use of hegemonic epistemological dimension in management the paper advances in thought about the possibility of using other than the positivist epistemology: rationalism of Popper, phenomenology, historical epistemology, dialectics and critical epistemology. The results suggest that all those epistemologies have the potential to advance research in management with a focus on people with disabilities, provided that researchers suspend their prejudices and safeguard the perspective of disability as social construction.
