摘要:This work is the result of the investigation into a niche business in Bahia of the food services industry: Galician immigrants. Our question is what is the secret of this enterprising people? As simple immigrants, who arrived in Salvador, from the 19th century, almost destitute, prospered so much? The methodology used was the historical research. The contributions of the work have emerged from the analysis of the history of the Galician merchants. The qualitative research used bibliography and interviews with Galician entrepreneurs or their descendants. These entrepreneurs are example of organizational culture based on values and pillars sometimes good other than those practiced in the city that welcomed them. Seriousness, thrift, hard work, co-dependency of dominant verbal communication, members are some of the conclusions.
