摘要：The purpose of this research is to analyze a successful improvement of tax administration, supported by corporate governance and processes management. In order to do so, a case study of the structuring of the tax administration of Petrobras has been performed. This company was chosen because it is the largest payer of taxes in Brazil. This research included analysis of documentary reports and balance sheets of the company, direct observation and interviews with its managers and employees. Results achieved showed efficiency gains and management improvement, as well as a growing alignment to its corporate governance.
