摘要：The objective of this study is to identify and describe the key determinants of competitiveness of Brazilian lumber. To this end, we analyzed the correlations of 53 explanatory variables of competitiveness through factor analysis. The data used are primary and represent the perception of lumber Brazilian entrepeneur about the competitiveness of the segment. For this purpose, factor analysis was applied to a set of 53 variables. The results allowed the reduction of more than half of the initial variables and, in general, tended to differentiate the variables related to the efforts of companies and those of government influence, not differing very specific questions of both aspects.
