摘要:The objective of the study is to identify the competitive strategies and core competencies in three Brazilian multinational leaders in their global value chains. To reach the goal, the method used was multiple case with secondary data, with companies selected JBS, Embraco and Marcopolo, which showed potential for achieving the defined goal. The premise of the study is that the external environment can induce a learning process in organizations of developing countries working in the international market. The literature used was the Global Value Chain that offered elements to investigate the inclusion of agents from different locations, developed and developing, the world market. It was concluded that the analyzed companies have been going through learning processes because of their performance in foreign markets that gives opportunity different combinations of specific skills and strategies for gaining competitive advantage.
