摘要：This study aimed at evaluating how was the process of rise and decline of a cooperative of small farmers. The research is qualitative in nature, and the data were analyzed by using the analysis of speech according to the French approach. We could notice, by the results, that even in a cooperative environment, the ideology of capitalism prevails. Since the process of designing the cooperative power struggles and search for individual growth led the actions of those involved, culminating with the dismemberment of its units.
