  • 摘要:The aim of this study was to analyze the behavior and relationship patterns that build, maintain and strengthen the status of the founder like a myth. The article presents results of a qualitative research conducted with three families businesses. Data analysis of the interviews allowed the definition of four domains of analysis. Humility and dedication, cooperation and collaboration were highlighted components in the field 'of the founding values ​​that sustain the myth of position'. In the field ‘founder’s behavior patterns that keep him in that position' the components identified were: communication; cooperate; harmonize and enthusiasm; and wake capabilities. The domain 'relational patterns that support the founder's image as a myth' comprises: learning; confidence; persistence, readiness for change and innovation; loyalty; not confrontation; reciprocity; and identification. In the field 'factors that justify its position', it was possible to identify the components: construction of identity; need to belong; and desire to overcome common sense.
