摘要:The present study aimed at diagnosing the current state of knowledge management from the managers' perception in the Telecommunication Solution and Service Providing Center of the organization. It is justified by the need to manage and retain organizational knowledge due to employees’ dismissal. It consists of a study case with a quantitative approach and a descriptive purpose. For data collection we used the survey instrument proposed by Bukowitz and Williams (2002). The study included 43 employees, among managers, coordinators, consultants and supervisors. From the respondents’ perception, the organization is in the early stage of the Knowledge Management process, for there are no articulated formal processes, knowledge is not evaluated in a systematic and routine way and the actions are isolated and do not link the knowledge management activities to strategic results. The results point to the low capacity of the organization to establish partnerships that would develop its competences and to the fact knowledge is not evaluated. The organization uses politics of recognition and awards as a way to keep people and some indications of favorable environment for knowledge sharing were observed.
