摘要:Since 2008, poisoning became the leading cause of injury-related death in the US. Though most poison center (PC) and public health (PH) officials agree that PCs play an important role in PH practice, collaboration has been hindered by challenges. The Poison Center and Public Health Collaborations Community of Practice was created to share experiences, identify best practices, and facilitate relationships among PH agencies and PCs. This panel discussion aims to describe the use of PC data from the poison center, local, state, and federal public health perspectives and to generate meaningful discussion of how to address the challenges to collaboration.
