摘要：Regression analysis is used to fit a periodic model to weekly disease counts for reportable diseases in Missouri. These trigonometric models are then used to obtain upper control limits for the number of cases that would lead to an outbreak signal. The methods, including graphics, are implemented in the open source statistical package R.
