摘要:In this article, we analyze the way Benjamin’s conception of pure language, defended since his earlier work (clearly in 1916, in the text On Language as Such and on the Language of Man ), will determine his theory of critics and translation, namely in the period prior to his contact with Marxism, through Asja Lascis. In order to do so, it’s necessary to map the fundamental concepts from his earlier work and to understand the way they will develop subsequently in the texts about critics, like The Concept of Criticism in German Romanticism and The Origin of German Tragic Drama or even other texts.
