摘要：Este texto é um ensaio dedicado a refletir sobre a feitura e sobre os usos da imagem e de audiovisuais no campo da pesquisa em educação. Tem como ponto de partida o pressuposto de que como pesquisadores, dominamos a capacidade de produzir imagens/audiovisuais, e apresenta a tese de que precisamos, sempre e mais uma vez, indagar o sentido de fazê-los. Essa busca de sentido é aqui apresentada numa articulação entre a ciência e a arte, naquilo que suas especificidades, em conjunto, permitem problematizar, de modo que o tema da imagem/áudio-visual, trazido pelas demandas da atividade de pesquisa, ganhe novas dimensões no campo da arte e da produção cultural contemporânea. Palavras-chave Imagem; Pesquisa; Educação Abstract This text is an analysis dedicated to think about the making and the use of images and audiovisual material in researches on the education field. It has as a start point the assumption that as researcher, we can produce images/audiovisual material, and presents the idea that we always need to ask ourselves the real sense in producing it. This meaning search is presented here in a combination between science and arts, with their specificities that, together, allows the problematizing, in a way that the images/audiovisual material theme, brought by demands of research activities, wins new dimensions in the field of arts and contemporary cultural production.
