摘要:The article analyzes the implementation of Digital TV in the country, from the relations between State and Market and from civil society demands, emphasizing incentives for research in science, technology and innovation, as well as the implementation of TV digitalization by private actors. Through research literature and documents, these are the following conclusions: Brazilian government is committed to the traditional broadcasters interests, when it is assigned extra tracks to private broadcasting, for instance; introduction of Digital TV in the country is in risk of being misused if investments of the companies are directed only to improve image quality and access to multiple platforms, in despite of expansion of new actors in the system, whether producers or programmers.
