摘要：Global investments have grew tremendously in the recent years. As a result, mergers and acquisitions are becoming a daily occurrences. To achieve their goals, multinational corporations have to go through the process of filing for permissions with the various antitrust authorities in various countries with different rules and regulations. This paper deals with the antitrust laws and rules and regulations in the three major regions in which most mergers occurs. The regions and countries under consideration are the United States of America, Japan and the European Union.
