摘要:This article places in context and transcribes two original letters of George Washington. The first is a military order, of June 20, 1777, from headquarters at Middle Brook [New Jersey], directed to Brigadier Generals McDougall and Glover. The second contains certificates from from Washington and Lafayette concerning the Marquis de Vienne, who fought in the American army and requested a leave from the war. It is dated September 29, 1778 and sent to The President of the Congress.
