摘要：Historiographical accounts about the struggle between whites and blacks Guelfs in 1300-1301 Florence largely depend on chronicles. Nevertheless, these accounts traditionally drew from major chronicles (Compagni and Villani), while they refer to Trecento minor historical compilations only cursory. The essay develops a systematic analysis of the testimonies about these facts given by minor historical compilations (Pseudo Petrarca, Pseudo Brunetto, Neapolitano-Gaddiana, Paolino Pieri, marciana-magliabechiana and the “cronichetta magliabechiana”). The exam aims at reconstructing the system of relations connecting these compilations and, as a consequence, at providing a better evaluation of their historical information. The remarkable richness of the Pseudo Petrarca in Trecento manuscripts, as well as the extraordinary quality of historical information of the marciana-magliabechiana compilation, emerges from the analysis. The accounts provided by Dante, Compagni, Villani, as well as the interpretations given of them, constitute the object of a forthcoming essay.
