摘要：Dans cet article, nous présentons les résultats d’un travail en cours : une étude de cas sur la culture historique populaire européenne au xxe siècle. Il est centré sur le héros de Lépante, Don Juan de Austria (1547-1578). à travers différents médias, surtout des biographies destinées au grand public et des romans historiques, on analyse les continuités et les changements dans l’image publique du personnage ; des transformations qui s’expliquent par leur consonnance avec le climat socio-culturel, les conjonctures politiques et les sensibilités relieuses. Cette étude sur la métamorphose d’un héros du premier baroque est précédée d’une présentation générale sur la vie et la carrière politico-militaire du fils de Charles Quint et Barbara Blomberg.
其他摘要：This article presents the initial results of an on-going research project: a case-study of twentieth-century European popular historical culture. It focuses on the hero of the Battle of Lepanto, Don Juan of Austria (1547-1578). By using different sources, especially biographies aimed at the general public and historical novels, the changes and continuity in the public image of this figure are analysed; these transformations are defined with respect to the socio-cultural climate, the political context and religious sensitivities. This study of the metamorphosis of an early Baroque hero is preceded by a brief overview of the life and political and military career of this figure, the son of Charles V and Barbara Blomberg.
