摘要：Disparate systems owned by healthcare providers cannot generate the expected outcomes if not integrated.Lack of interoperable health systems is a major barrier to the use of the health information. DHIS2 is a national health information system (HIS) that was deployed at the county level by the Government of Kenya in 2010, its corefunctions are reporting, analysis and dissemination of health data obtained from health facilities and hospitals. The information from DHIS2 is used for national planning by health managers. However untimely, incomplete and inaccurate data are the main challenges that affects the HIS since the health reporting is paper-based dominated and lack of integration between the fragmented partner-HISs. Enterprise Service Bus(ESB)middleware providesa set of core (reusable) services which are made widely available, this approach was used in development of theWeb Data-ESB for integrating the HISs thus facilitating interoperability and data interchange across the platforms.
