摘要:We seek to analyse the conflict that has existed since 1970 between different social players regarding one of the major black vulture colonies ( Aegypius monachus ) in the Iberian Peninsula: between those who defend the eucalyptus plantations and those supporting the black vulture. The conflict is both about heritage and the environment. We will see how the black vulture on the one side, and the eucalyptus on the other, have become the lynchpin of a symbolism that confronts the paradigm of productivism and environmentalism in their respective evaluative hierarchies.
