摘要：The goal of the article is to analyze the evolution of economic activities starting from the effective occupation of the territory in the state of Mato Grosso after the decade of 1980, using location quocient. It was identified that there were changes in the productive structure with the modernization of the agriculture in the microregion of Alto Teles Pires (in the center of the state), but there are islands of differentiated growth as in the microregions of Sinop and Colíder (to the north) and Cuiabá and Rondonópolis (to the south) of the state.
