摘要：The aim is analysing the rural world in the context of the development and the crisis of modern society, observing the theoretical approaches, the public policies and the familiar agriculturists´ practical actions. It starts from a historic/analytical frame about the rural and the familiar agriculture development, observing the limits of productive public policies and the possibilities to the sustainable development at the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba.
