摘要：The present work aims primarily to make the technical and economic analysis of farms in the municipality of Independence in the State of Ceará . The data used for the analysis of farms and their activities were obtained through questionnaire application and then use to calculate the technological index and the measures of economic return in the year of 2009. The results showed that the farms have low technological level due to the low use of good practices . As for measures of economic return, the farms showed certain degree of efficiency, but showed unsatisfactory according the residual measures. In general , we could conclude that he farms have economic and financial feasibility , however, they show deficiencies in the application of technological and management practices.
